Milwaukee police are investigating attempted homicide after shots were fired at officers

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — Milwaukee police are investigating an attempted homicide following an incident Thursday, September 12th, in which shots were allegedly fired at officers near 23rd and Keefe.

Officials say the situation began around 7 p.m. when officers spotted a stolen car that had been stolen earlier that day near 10th and Keefe.

As officers approached, the car fled at a high rate of speed, leading to a pursuit that ended near 23rd and Finn.

During the pursuit, police say a 16-year-old male fired a firearm at officers. No officers were hit and no shots were returned.

The occupants of the vehicle fled on foot, according to police. A 17-year-old man was arrested near 23rd and Townsend, while the 16-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man were caught after a brief foot chase.
