KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Fort Hays State men’s soccer moved up eight spots in the latest United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II Top 25 poll released Tuesday. The Tigers jumped from 22nd last week to 14th this week after a 5-0 win over a previously ranked Maryville team. The Tigers started the season 3-0.

A nationally ranked matchup is right in front of the Tigers on Thursday when they travel to play No. 19 Midwestern State in Wichita Falls, Texas. The Mustangs were ranked No. 8 in last week’s poll, but dropped 11 spots in the latest poll. FHSU will also battle Eastern New Mexico two days later in Wichita Falls.

Fort Hays State (No. 14) and Southern Nazarene (No. 17) represent the Great American Conference in the Top 25. Newman is among the sectionals receiving votes. Ranking no. The 14 is the highest for FHSU since September 6, 2022, when they were ranked 12th in the nation.
