One person shot at an apartment complex in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – The Colorado Springs Police Department said they are investigating a shooting on Friday.

Officers were called Friday night around 7:19 for reports of a shooting at the Vista Peak Apartments, west of Mitchell High School.

According to police on the scene, a man was shot and taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police said the suspect left in a two-door car, but they did not know the color or model. As of Friday evening, police had not identified any suspects.

Police said this was an isolated incident and they do not believe there is a threat to the public.
