In recent months, some NBA fans have argued that the Boston Celtics’ recent run to the Finals was too easy.

Due to multiple injuries, the Celtics faced short teams as they made their way to their 18th championship.

Shaquille O’Neal agrees with the concept and talked about it on the latest episode of “The OGs Show.”

He said the Celtics had “the easiest run ever” and is curious to see how Eastern Conference teams respond in 2024-25.

There’s no denying that the Celtics have played several teams that weren’t at their best.

They started with the Miami Heat in the first round of the playoffs, but the Heat were without Jimmy Butler.

They then faced the Cleveland Cavaliers, who were struggling without Jarrett Allen and then Donovan Mitchell.

Next up were the Indiana Pacers, who were missing Tyrese Haliburton.

They had lost just two games before their Finals against the Dallas Mavericks and many people took notice.

O’Neal believes that the teams will be much more competitive in the new season.

Eastern Conference rivals like the Milwaukee Bucks, New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers will bring everything they have with one common goal: defeating the Celtics.

That doesn’t mean Boston won’t overcome all of this and return to the Finals.

They are still favorites to return to the Championship, but there are clearly many obstacles in their way.

If the Celtics can win back-to-back titles, the critics will be silenced and their greatness will be reaffirmed.

Until then, many people will be asking questions.
