1 dead after motorcycle crash in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) – A man has died after a motorcycle and car crash.

Officers responded to the scene at West and Plainfield streets around 6pm on Saturday.

The driver of the car remained at the scene, while the adult motorcyclist was taken to Baystate, where he died of his injuries.

No further details are available at this time as Springfield Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
