According to the Kansas Highway Patrol crash report, Allison Leedy, 64, of Ponca City, was driving east in a 2000 Chevy Impala when, for no known reason, she rear-ended a 1999 Kawasaki Vulcan motorcycle , which was still traveling east.

Shannon Skinner, 44, of Haysville, the driver of the motorcycle, was seriously injured in the crash and taken to Ascension Via Christi St. Hospital. Francis of Wichita. He was wearing a helmet.

According to Sumner County 911, the department was dispatched to the scene with five emergency and medical personnel. Both motorcyclists were transported separately to Wichita. The driver of the car refused transport but was going to the Winfield emergency room.
