Three counts of murder after fatal shooting

Three men have been charged with murder after the fatal shooting of a 31-year-old man in an east London park.

Joshua McLean was shot dead in Weavers Fields, Bethnal Green, at around 8.30pm BST on 6 August

The men, who are in their 30s, were arrested on Wednesday and are due to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court to face formal charges.

Five other people arrested on suspicion of murder – men aged between 17 and 56 – have since been released on bail.

Mr McLean’s family have been informed.

The Metropolitan Police is appealing for anyone with information about the shooting to contact the force.
