Sherman ISD is running shuttles downtown for the homecoming game

SHERMAN, Texas (KXII) – Friday night means homecoming in Sherman, which means a lot of people downtown.

In an effort to help people get to the game safely and quickly, Sherman ISD will be running a free shuttle service to pick people up from their cars and drop them off at the gate.

The shuttles will start making the rounds at 18:00 and will continue to run until 20:30...

Shuttles will start making the rounds at 6pm and will continue to transport people back and forth from the gate to the city center until 30 minutes after the game ends.

The shuttles will be school buses, and Sherman ISD Police Chief Heath Wester says all you have to do to catch a ride – is flag down a driver.

“They’re going to go down all these side streets, Washington, Walnut,” Heath said. “Give a signal to a bus driver, they’ll make sure people get on the bus.”

The game starts tomorrow at 7pm when the Bearcats take the field against Frisco Centennial.

“It’s Bearcat time,” Heath said, “We’re excited, we want everybody to come out and we’re expecting a win.”
