Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information in the unsolved killing of an 18-year-old from Broward

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Marion “Boosie” Harrison would have celebrated her 19th birthday on September 24th.

Instead of planning a party, his family remembered the 18-year-old’s accomplishments from Pompano High School and Youth Construction Academy during a funeral service Aug. 31 at the Johnson & Family Life Celebration Center in Pompano Beach .

Before the funeral service, Harrison’s father, Chaddie Harrison, told Local 10 News that the killing in Fort Lauderdale was “in cold blood” and that he and his family needed justice.

“He had a bright future ahead of him,” the grieving father said of his son. “For his life to be cut short like that, without giving him a chance, it’s just not fair.”

As of Friday, the crime had remained unsolved for about six weeks. Crime Stoppers has released a flier offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the “arrest of the suspect(s) wanted for homicide.”

Marion Harrison died on August 17th. Police officers and emergency personnel found him bleeding shortly after 5 a.m. that Saturday in a bullet-riddled black Honda Civic along West Cypress Creek Road west of North Andrews Avenue.

Investigators placed about a dozen markers on the sidewalk and street. There was another man who was injured inside the Honda Civic who survived. Detectives asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477 to remain anonymous.
