The Amarillo Chamber of Commerce will host its 28th annual Good Times Barbecue Cook-off next month on October 3, 2024 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – The Amarillo Chamber of Commerce will host the 28th annual Good Times Barbecue Cook-off next week.

Event organizers say there will be 100 cooking teams and sponsors on display serving several types of meat, including ribs, brisket and all the sides.

The event will also feature live music with a performance by ‘Velvet Funk’.

“This event is about networking, food, a beer with your friends and music. It’s three hours, and if you try to get to all 100 cooking teams, you probably can’t do it in 3 hours, and if you did you’d be completely stuffed,” said Penni Brantley, vice president of communications.

The cook-off will be held on October 3rd from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Tri-State Fairgrounds at the south end of the Amarillo National Center Arena parking lot.

Tickets are $30 in advance and $40 at the gate and include all you can eat, a drink and networking with live music. To buy tickets online, click here.
