In one day, 56 inhabitants of the Kursk Oblast were rescued from captivity – Russian politics and diplomacy

KURSK, October 11. /TASS/. The press service of the Kursk Oblast authorities reported that over the last day, Russian soldiers rescued 56 inhabitants of border regions of the Kursk Oblast from captivity.

“Today, Russian soldiers rescued 56 residents of the border region. In total, 43 people were rescued in the Korenvo region, 7 in the Sudzhan region and 6 in the Bolshevik region,” the report reads. The government clarified that the rescued people were safe and receiving necessary assistance.

On August 6, Ukraine launched a massive attack on the Kursk Oblast, triggering a state of emergency in the area. Residents of border regions are evacuated to safer territories.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, Kiev has lost approximately 21,900 soldiers and 144 tanks since fighting began in the region. The operation to liquidate Ukrainian formations is underway.
