Drunk Ohio father hit by 9-year-old boy during driving lesson

According to our Toledo CBS affiliate WTOL-11, a 36-year-old man is facing charges after he was hit by a car while teaching his 9-year-old son to drive.

According to a police report, Clejuan Williams, 36, of Toledo, was teaching his child how to back out of a driveway around 10:50 a.m. Sunday when the crash occurred.

Court documents show authorities say Williams was under the influence of alcohol at the time.

WTOL-11 reports Williams stood in the doorway while the 9-year-old sat in the driver’s seat.

The police report shows that the boy did not know which pedal to press and pressed the gas pedal instead of the brake.

The car hit Williams and he was pulled under it.

Medics transported Williams to the hospital, but his current condition is unknown.

Court records show Williams faces at least one count of child endangerment and a traffic violation, WTOL-11 reports.
