“Woke diversity programs” are failing British companies on almost every front, says one of the leading diversity campaigning groups.

Research into equality, diversion and inclusion in the workplace shows that companies are under pressure to implement the approaches demanded by employees who “speak the loudest”, often younger members of staff.

As a result, companies lose sight of real injustices, including women earning significantly less than men, says leading consultancy Diversity by Design.

It concludes that woke politics causes “deep resentment and division.”

His report is based on interviews with bosses and employees of 49 major companies, including BT, Panasonic and Rolls-Royce.

The study found that workers were divided into “identity-based groups” focusing on “performative flag waving and action days.”

He warned that focusing on some groups of workers could result in the needs of others not being fully taken into account, exposing companies to “significant legal risk”.
