Deadpool and Wolverine almost gave us a surprising kiss scene

If all the high-quality gifs making the rounds on social media are any indication, Marvel fans everywhere are getting good use out of the home video release Deadpool and Wolverine reminding people how crazy this hit movie was. Just in case some are still hesitant to head to their local movie distributor for a physical copy of what the brave folks at Screen Junkies have dubbed “Cash in the Christ” (get it?) in their latest Honest Trailers (get it?), Marvel has sweetened the deal , giving potential buyers a glimpse at one of the many deleted scenes the R-rated MCU movie has to offer. Chief among them is an emotional kiss left on the cutting room floor.

Before you get too excited, it’s worth mentioning that despite how sexually charged Wade Wilson and Logan Howlett’s intimate fight scene in Honda Odyssey may have been, the kiss isn’t between characters overflowing with healing factors. Instead, the kiss is between Wade’s best friend, Peter, and Lokiown B-15. In a clip titled “Daddy in Love” shared by the Hollywood Reporter on X/Twitter, we see B-15 and Peter walking down the hall, after which Peter thanks her for helping her with “the Laura thing.” We’re guessing he’s potentially referring to how the gang managed to save X-23 and bring her to Wade’s reality.

B-15 then forgets Peter’s gentle thanks, giving him a look that hasn’t been seen since Simba and Nala reunited in The Lion Kingand I give the guy a big kiss. The music swells and B-15 winks and waves goodbye before entering the portal. Peter then celebrates his achievement with Kidpool and Headpool, who have been crouching in his apartment the entire time. Apparently the characters’ chemistry was enough, according to a short clip that teased the official video, to give those behind the scenes the confidence to work towards culminating their budding romance with a kiss.

If the above clip has piqued the curiosity of people willing to shell out for a chance to own Marvel’s latest thrill ride, it will be released on Blu-ray on October 22. It is now available in digital version.
