Worker rescued after scaffold collapse in Wisconsin

A worker was rescued Thursday afternoon after scaffolding collapsed outside the Milwaukee County Courthouse in Wisconsin. No one was injured.

MILWAUKEE — A worker was rescued in Wisconsin on Thursday after a partial collapse of suspended scaffolding.

The incident happened in the afternoon at the Milwaukee County Courthouse, WTMJ reports.

Ropes were lowered onto the employee and another employee on a nearby ledge stepped forward to help.

Firefighters arrived at the scene to assist with rescue operations from both the roof and the ground.

Then another piece of scaffolding was lifted from the ground, with two workers on it.

These two helped secure the other two near the collapsed scaffolding.

The four of them made it to the roof safely.

There were no injuries.

It is not yet known what caused the partial collapse of the scaffolding.
