Masai Russell is shine-free and almost unrecognizable without its distinctive lashes

Masai Russell is living her best life since winning gold at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics.

The track star recently returned home to Maryland in style in a white Rolls Royce and fit after winning the 100-meter hurdles, then stepped out in an Alexander Wang two-piece as she flexed her gold medal on the sidelines of the race in Baltimore Ravens Game.

While we’re used to Russell going glam, on Saturday she ditched the glamor and lost her signature long lashes in favor of an Instagram selfie boomerang. It’s hard to tell it’s even her.

Before the Games, the University of Kentucky graduate finished first in the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials, which set the tone for her incredible Olympic run.

After winning the gold, Russell cried on the podium in disbelief.

“Coming here and it was my first Olympics and winning an Olympic gold medal. I knew I was capable of it,” she said. “I wrote it down. “I have fallen so many times this year. But I mean, none of these races matter right now.

This is only Russell’s second professional season. He certainly has a lot more to achieve on and off the track.
