The Knoxville Fire Department rescues a man stuck in a tree

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – The Knoxville Fire Department said they rescued a man who was stuck in a tree Saturday afternoon.

KFD said crews arrived on Vermont Avenue just before 2 p.m. and found the man in a tree about 30 feet away.

KFD reported that the man was safely brought to the ground within an hour of receiving the call. Although he initially appeared to be injured, he refused medical attention.

“A key piece of the puzzle in removing the male from the tree was the technical expertise of the KFD crew on scene and the KFD tiller,” KFD stated.

KFD says that if it weren’t for the tiller, the man would likely have been stuck in the tree for a long time.
