IGP: Police are investigating whether children rescued from GISBH homes were exposed to militant brainwashing

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 13 — The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) is investigating the potential brainwashing of children rescued from care homes linked to GISB Holdings Sdn Bhd (GISBH) as part of a jihad.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain said police were currently investigating claims that children were exposed to videos of militants during their stay in care homes.

“The investigation is currently heading in this direction (showing films of militants), although I have not previously raised this issue during the investigation and press conferences.

“However, these children were actually shown videos related to their leader, Abuya, while they were in care homes,” he said when contacted by Bernama today.

Yesterday, Selangor Islamic and Innovation Development Commission chairman Dr Mohammad Fahmi Ngah, speaking at the 21st Hafiz College Meeting in Klang, said the idea of militant jihad was believed to have been instilled in children rescued from nursing homes.

He said that the application of the elements took place in the form of a video projection during the children’s free time.

According to Mohammad Fahmi, this is based on information received from PDRM. — Bernama
