The GISB member rehabilitation program consists of four segments, Jakim says.

KUALA LUMPUR: The rehabilitation program for Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holdings (GISB) members will consist of four segments, says the Malaysian Islamic Development Department (Jakim).

Its CEO Datuk Dr Sirajuddin Suhaimee said the segments or modules were ‘aqidah’ (Islamic theology), skills training, patriotism and consultative education.

“Each module will be monitored by supervisors from the relevant agencies based on their expertise.

“A panel consisting of Jakim staff from the state and federal levels will evaluate the participants,” he said at a news conference on Monday (Oct. 14).

He said participants’ acceptance could be assessed within 90 days.

“However, each participant is different. We have a further process if they need more guidance,” he said.

Meanwhile, the department’s director of child development, Dr Sopian Ibrahim, said the children rescued during the operation at GISB, codenamed Ops Global, are being well cared for.

“They were placed in nursing homes based on applicable procedures and regulations.

“Minister for Women, Family and Community Development Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri will report to Parliament tomorrow on the care of the rescued children,” he said.
