Honda recalls vehicles due to steering problem

Honda is recalling 1,693,199 vehicles due to a possible incorrectly manufactured steering gear assembly, which could cause excessive internal friction and lead to difficulty in steering the vehicle. The vehicles affected by the recall are:

Porsche Recall Due to Battery Problems

Porsche is recalling 27,527 2021-2024 Taycan vehicles. In a high voltage battery, a short circuit may occur in the battery module. A short circuit in the high voltage battery increases the risk of fire.

BMW recalls cars due to brake problems

BMW is recalling 11,579 2023-2024 X1, X5, X6, X7, XM, 530i, i5, 740i, 760i, i7 and 750e vehicles. The Integrated Braking (IB) system may malfunction and cause a loss of brake assist or cause the anti-lock braking system and Dynamic Stability Control to malfunction.

Dealers will replace the integrated brake module free of charge. Temporary owner safety notices are expected to be sent on November 22. Second letters will be sent when parts are available. For vehicles for which online data is available (Audi recall number 931A), as an interim measure, vehicles will be monitored via online data assessment at no cost to owners. If online data identifies a potentially critical battery module, we will contact the owner and advise them to only charge the vehicle to 80% capacity until the failed module can be replaced free of charge at an authorized Audi dealer.

For vehicles for which online data is not available (Audi recall number 931B), as an interim solution, dealers will perform diagnostic procedures free of charge and, if necessary, replace the battery module assemblies. Owners of these vehicles will also be advised to only charge their vehicle to 80% capacity and may need to repeat the inspection before the software becomes available.

Notification letters to owners are expected to be sent on November 29. Owners can contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834. The Audi numbers affected by this recall are 931A and 931B. This recall expands and replaces previous recall numbers 24V-229 and 24V-228. Vehicles previously repaired under a previous recall will require a new remedy.
