Injured person rescued from a ditch in SLO County. Here’s what we know

One person was injured after becoming trapped in a ditch in rural San Luis Obispo County on Friday afternoon.

According to a post on X, firefighters were on the scene of a rescue near 2500 Lazy Hill Road in San Miguel as of 12:14 p.m. The city’s search and rescue team was on its way to the scene.

The circumstances of the rescue were unclear.

A photo of the scene provided by Cal Fire shows a ditch filled with a portable trailer and other items.

Cal Fire recovered the patient from the ditch at 1 p.m., the agency said in a post on X shortly thereafter.

Cal Fire said the person suffered minor injuries.
