Hungerford resident Joseph Gunning convicted of obstructing police

A MAN who denied obstructing police has been hit with a £920 bill.

Joseph Gunning appeared in court in Reading on Wednesday, September 11.

At a previous hearing, the 33-year-old, of Morley Place, Hungerford, pleaded not guilty to obstructing PC Downes in carrying out his duties at Morley Place on November 16 last year.

However, the judges did not believe his testimony and as a result of the trial, he was convicted.

Gunning was fined £200.

He was also ordered to pay court costs of £650.

Finally, Gunning was ordered to pay a statutory victim services charge of £80.
