Two hikers rescued at Bear Head State Park

On October 12, around 6:11 p.m., a hiker called 911, asking for help getting out of the forest at Bear Head State Park.

Due to poor cell signal quality, St. County Sheriff’s Office deputies Louis couldn’t contact the tourist, so the St. Louis Emergency Department was called. Louis for help in searching the area. St. County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center Louis obtained the GPS coordinates of the original 911 call, and the hiker was able to call 911 a second time, and the two hikers were told to remain at the scene.

When officers arrived at Bear Head State Park, they used a drone to locate two lost hikers. Members of the St. County Rescue Squad Louis were able to meet the hikers on foot and lead them out of the forest.

Neither side needed medical attention, but they were not prepared to spend the night in the forest.
