February 9, 2023: NewsChannel 5 has learned that District Attorney Glenn Funk’s team has installed listening devices in areas around the district attorney’s office that can pick up conversations of employees and visitors who were not warned about the audio monitoring. March 24, 2023: Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agents and technicians responded to the office of District Attorney General Glenn Funk as part of an ongoing investigation into the activities of the District Attorney’s Office. May 2, 2023: When Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agents entered Nashville County Attorney General Glenn Funk’s office in March, the prosecutor released a statement saying they were there at his “invitation.” Now, NewsChannel 5 investigates learned that agents were executing a search warrant issued by a Davidson County judge. August 17, 2023: The Tennessee Registry of Election Finance voted to take no action on a series of questionable contributions to Nashville County Attorney General Glenn Funk’s 2022 re-election campaign. Board members argued they had nothing else to do because no one had filed a complaint under oath, containing an allegation of violation of campaign finance regulations. September 19, 2023: An unprecedented raid on the Nashville District Attorney’s office in March included a search of U.S. Attorney Glenn Funk’s office – including his laptop, briefcase and other electronic equipment – as TBI agents searched for evidence of possible illegal wiretapping, according to newly released court documents. Davidson County Criminal Court Judge Jennifer Smith ordered the documents released in response to a request filed by NewsChannel 5. That’s what agents requested.
