Jury finds mother guilty of murder in Warrick Co.

WARRICK CO., Ind. (WFIE) – On the tenth day of a murder trial in Warrick County, a verdict was reached.

Court records show Caylin Monroe was found guilty of murder and negligence resulting in death.

The authorities began an investigation into death of three-month-old baby Monroe in 2022, after a child died of starvation.

According to officials, Monroe confessed that she had given up on feeding the baby and would forget about him if she stayed quiet.

Monroe’s sentencing will be on November 15, 2024.
